It's a simply wonderful set-up--it's not small to begin with, but packs a punch of something much larger. Right now this is essentially a half stack, but the head has enough power to toss another cab on there and make it a full stack. While this is a bass set-up, the low-freq cab could be used in conjunction with a hi-end cab to make a guitar ready full stack.
The tube amp in the head is capable of producing juicy, fuzzy crunch and the scoop functionality allows for precise control of where in the a note's lifespan you want a little fuzz to come in. I've recorded direct out of the head and been able to extend some of the functionality you normally have to close mic the cab for.
This is an awesome rig--I really hate to let it go, but haven't hardly touched it in years. That said, it's been well maintained and always kept in a climate controlled environment, never relegated to storage or anything like that. I hope someone will be able to put this thing to use: jamming out loudly and hefting it to mid-sized gigs around town.
Neither item is currently in production, although Yorkville, the small Canadian manufacturer, continues to put out excellent hardware available at high end and boutique music shops.
